Freas, M. Kebschull, R. Craig, W. Ogle, B. Frates, T. Eubank, M. Joiner and K. Stearns Others: R. Marquis (Council Member Elect) City Manager Koch reported he had prepared a preliminary list of projects for which to request federal and /or state funding, distributed lists including capital projects activity, future capital projects, ADEC municipal matching granted funded projects, and ARRA funded projects. Discussion followed noting a letter would be written to Governor Parnell to encourage the provision of funding for the bluff erosion project; suggestion Council may want to consider hiring a Washington, DC lobbyist; and, it was doubtful funding would be available in 2010. Review of the draft list Capital Improvement Projects List: No. 1 bluff erosion project No. 2 Kenai Library Expansion No. 3 paving and improvements to city streets No. 4 improvements to support state personal use fishery No. 5 wastewater treatment plant upgrades renovations No. 6 Recreation Center energy upgrades /improvements No. 7 New fire engine No. 8 Soccer fields move to #9 No. 9 Vehicle storage facility /Senior Center move to #10 No. 10 City Hall HVAC improvements move to #8 Other projects (changes /additions): Add: Cemetery Expansion Columbarium: Discuss at budget process Drift boat pull -out: Remove "Project should be accomplished by the State."
