A. Agency and Government Reports
a. State Parks, Jack Sinclair, as you know we've been looking at board appointments; the director came
down last week and did interviews with the 4 applicants. Right now we have picked 2 of the 4 to go up to
the commissioner. We will be advertising again for the third board seat. Expect that the commissioner
will be appointing those seats and anticipate by the December meeting that those 2 seats will be filled.
We are in the process of re -doing the brochure for the Kenai River Special Management Area. The Kenai
River Sportfishing Association is going to lend some assistance. Will try improving content of the
brochure. Along with that request, I would like the board to look at the Kenai River Special Management
Area webpage and let us know your suggestions for updating it. In addition to that, the director asked
that we jazz up the webpage for the Kenai River Special Management Area Advisory board. My goal is
by the January meeting, I would like to see us update and create our own webpage.
b. DEC, Tim Stevens, last month I mentioned that we had a of couple contracts, one was to do a peer
review of the Kenai River turbidity study. The other was the contract for the City of Kenai to help develop
their fish waste management plan for beaches. We are very close in issuing the contract for the peer
review for the Kenai River Turbidity report.

We have put it out to bid, the current permits do not allow us to ford
