Mr. Krusen reviewed the report included in the packet and a summary sheet provided as a lay down to the discussion, noting recommendations and approximated costs of options/supplemental options. They were noted as: • Delayed cable television (council approved investigating the concept, working with Kenai Central High School for taping). • Online archival (planned with 2006 purchase of software/computer, etc. with possible costs for internet/website hosting) • Live webcast (Krusen/Molloy -- recommended supplemental option with purchase of additional software and cost for internet/ web site hosting). • Radio (Krusen/Molloy -- not recommended due to costs involved). • Live Cable TV (Krusen/Molloy -- not recommended due to costs involved). • Live Network Camera (Krusen/Molloy -- recommended alternative supplemental option). A brief question and answer period took place. It was noted, the 2006 purchased software would allow digital recordings of council meetings and would also allow those recordings to be uploaded to the city's webpage. Additionally, council included $1,500 in the Clerk budget for purchase of additional software to incorporate live webeasting to the city webpage if council chooses to incorporate that function (with extra costs for internet and website hosting).
