HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 2244-2007Suggested by: Administration CITY OF KENAI ORDINANCE NO. 2244-2007 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $1,000 IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR A LIBRARY AWARD. WHEREAS, at the end of FY07 the Public Library Association and EBSCO Information Services awarded the Excellence in Small and/or Rural Public Library Service Award to the City of Kenai; and, WHEREAS, this award provides recognition and a $1,000 honorarium each year to one public library serving a population of 10,000 or less that demonstrates excellence in service to its community; and, WHEREAS, the Library would like to use these funds for programs at the Library in FY08. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA that estimated revenues and appropriations be increased as follows: General Fund Increase Estimated Revenues: Appropriation of Fund Balance $1,000 Increase Appropriations: Library -Miscellaneous $1,000 PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, this 1st day of August, 2007. r',~ PAT PORTER, MAYOR ATTEST ~ -°°~ x Carol L. The ordinance would add $1,000 for the Excellence in Small andlor Rural public service award. I had talked to Larry about adding it to 001-440-5041 in order to use the funds for programs at the library since that was what the award was for and he was okay with that. What else can I tell you?
