Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance No. 2244-2007Suggested by: Administration CITY OF KENAI ORDINANCE NO. 2244-2007 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $1,000 IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR A LIBRARY AWARD. WHEREAS, at the end of FY07 the Public Library Association and EBSCO Information Services awarded the Excellence in Small and/or Rural Public Library Service Award to the City of Kenai; and, WHEREAS, this award provides recognition and a $1,000 honorarium each year to one public library serving a population of 10,000 or less that demonstrates excellence in service to its community; and, WHEREAS, the Library would like to use these funds for programs at the Library in FY08. The ordinance would add $1,000 for the Excellence in Small andlor Rural public service award. I had talked to Larry about adding it to 001-440-5041 in order to use the funds for programs at the library since that was what the award was for and he was okay with that. What else can I tell you?
