HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 2337-2008~~.z~/oS 8 - ~ ~- Suggested by: Councilor Boyle, Harbor -' and Parks 8s Recreation Commissions EHca~o~' KENALALASKA CITY OF KENAI ORDINANCE NO. 2337-2008 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALAS ,INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $500,000 IN DRIFT BOAT PULL OUT CAPITAL PROJECT FUND AND DECREASING ESTI TED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $500,000 IN THE STREET ANDS ER CAPITAL PROJECT FUND FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS. WHEREAS, the City of Kenai was awarded a grant from e State of Alaska for $ I,000,000 for public improvements; and, WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2321-2008 appropriate $250,000 of the grant to the Library Expansion Capital Project Fund and $75 ,000 to the Street and Sewer Capital Project Fund; and, WHEREAS, the Drift Boat Haul Out Projec s grant eligible; and, WHEREAS, it is in the best interest oft e City of Kenai to use X500,000 of this grant as funding for the Drift Boat Haul O Project; and, WHEREAS, the Ciry's Capital that needs to be funded; and, Plan has identified a drift boat haul out WHEREAS, it is in the best terest of the City of Kenai to appropriate $500,000 in the Drift Boat Haul Out Proje Fund from the Street and Sewer Capital Project Fund; and, WHEREAS, the Harb r Commission unanimously supported City funding for a drift boat pull out; and, WHEREAS the P ks & Recreation Commission unanimously supported City funding for a drift boat ull out.
