HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 2439-2009y KENA� ALASKA AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $7,163.00 FOR CITY MANAGER PAY AND BENEFITS INCREASE IN EXCESS OF ORIGINALLY BUDGETED AMOUNTS. WHEREAS, City Council has authorized a FY2010, 4.5% COLA (Cost of Living Allowance) increase for the City Manager; and, WHEREAS, the effect of the increase for wages and benefits will be $7,163.00 and shall be applied retroactively to July 1, 2009. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, that estimated revenues and appropriations be increased as follows: General Fund: Increase Estimated Revenue Appropriation of Fund Balance Increase Appropriations City Manager Salaries Leave Medicare PERS Unemployment Insurance Workers Compensation PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, this 16th day of September, 2009. No cost of living increase was included in the FY2010 budget for the City Manger Position. An additional $7,163 is needed for the City Manager position to receive the 4.5% cost of living allowance the Council approved. With the amendment to the contract, similar ordinances will be avoided as the contract now indicates the timing and method for determining cost of living increases for the City Manager.
