The Alaska State Library provides travel funds each year for one staff member (who
cannot be the library director) to attend some continuing education workshop or
conference. The maximum available from them is 1,000. We have received these funds
each fiscal year since they have been available. These funds can be spent on travel,
lodging, per diem and registration expenses.
This year those funds have been awarded so that Janina Efta may attend the Association
for Rural Small Libraries Conference which will be held in Denver, CO from
October 14 -16, 2010.
