CITY OF KENAI
ORDINANCE NO. 2186-2006
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA AMENDING
ESTIMATED REVENUES BY $3,580 IN THE SENIOR CITIZEN TITLE III FUND AND
INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $1,000 IN THE
SENIOR CITIZEN FUND.
WHEREAS, at the time the City of Kenai budget was approved by Council, the grant
award for the Council on Aging Title III grant, and the United Way allocation had not
been approved;and,
WHEREAS, the Council on Aging Title III grant award was $3,580 less and the United
Way allocation was $1,000 more than the original budget; and,
~UHEREAS, due to an increase in the suggested donation for senior meals, an increase
in the meal donations budget wili off set the reduction in the State grant; and,
WHEREAS, the increase in the United Way allocation will be used for food supplies for
the Senior Citizen Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI,
ALASKA, that:
Section l: The following budget amendment be made:
Senior Citizen Title III Grant Fund
State Grant
Meal Donations

Section 2: Estimated revenues and appropriations be increased as follows:
Senior Citizen Fund
Increase Estimated Revenues:
United Way $1,000
Increase Appropriations:
Operating Supplies $1 000
