RESOLUTION NO. 2003-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, SUPPORTING
SENATE BILL 189 THAT WOULD RENAME THE KENAI COURTHOUSE THE
"JONATHAN H. LINK COURTHOUSE."
WHEREAS, Judge Jonathan H. Link recently passed away; and,
WHEREAS, Judge Link was instrumental in the design and construction of the Kenai
Courthouse; and,
WHEREAS, Judge Link was the first Superior Court judge assigned to the Kenai
Courthouse and served there from 1990 until 2003; and,
WHEREAS, Judge Link was an extremely well respected jurist, lawyer, father,
husband and citizen of Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula; and,
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the Kenai Courthouse he so loved be named
after him; and,
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 189 proposes to name the Kenai Courthouse the "Jonathan H.
Link Courthouse."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI,
ALASKA, that the City of Kenai urges the Alaska Legislature to adopt SB 189 and
name the Kenai Courthouse the "Jonathan H. Link Courthouse."
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, this seventh day of May
2003.
