I still believe this project is viable but believe a comprehensive review of the City's IT infrastructure and operations would be more valuable and provide clearer direction for future maintenance, upgrades, and expansion. The City's IT needs have grown and continue to grow. Currently the City operates twelve servers, one hundred three personal computers, sixty -six printers, three wireless access points, and twelve mission critical applications. Security and efficiency of the network is of greatest concern and a comprehensive study will provide the basis for future IT expenditures and priorities. Should the fiber optic Zink be proven to be a priority additional funds may be requested prior to the spring construction season to complete the project or it may appear as a budget request for FY2011.
