RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -56

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, DIRECTING
THE ADMINISTRATION TO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE BOYS
AND GIRLS CLUB OF THE KENAI PENINSULA FOR FISCAL YEAR 2010 FUNDING OF
THE KENAI CLUBHOUSE IN THE AMOUNT OF $45,000.
WHEREAS, $45,000 was appropriated in the FY2010 budget to provide a grant to the
Boys and Girls Club of the Kenai Peninsula to replace federal funding lost for the
operations of the Kenai Clubhouse; and,
WHEREAS, during the budget process the council indicated it would provide direction
to the administration prior to actual award of any grant; and,
WHEREAS, such direction is being given and will include issuance of a $45,000 grant
with the following requirements of the grantee:
1. Quarterly and Annual Reports including the following:
a) Financial Performance of the Boys and Girls Club of the Kenai Peninsula.
b) Number of youth served by the Kenai Clubhouse by residence:
i. City of Kenai Residents
ii Residents outside the City of Kenai
2. Grant disbursements request will be made and paid quarterly following receipt
of quarterly reports.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI,
ALASKA, to award and administer a grant in the amount of $45,000 to the Boys and
Girls Club of the Kenai Peninsula for operations of the Kenai Clubhouse for the period
of July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, this 19th day of August,
2009.
