CITY OF KENAI
RESOLUT%ON NO. 2008-29
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING
A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO KIDDE FIRE TRAINERS FOR $45,000 FOR
SOFTWARE AND INSTALLATION SERVICES AT THE FIRE TRAINING FACILITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Kenai owns the Fire Training Facility; and,
WHEREAS, the City is responsible for major maintenance of the facility; and,
WHEREAS, the computer software that controls the simulation props is obsolete; and,
WHEREAS, the City has previously contracted with Kidde Fire Trainers for work at the
facility; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Kenai to continue using Kidde Fire
Trainers for work on the fire simulator control systems; and,
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI,
ALASKA, that the City Manager is authorized to enter into a sole source contract for
$45,000 to Kidde Fire Trainers to upgrade the hardware and software that controls the
fire simulators at the Fire "Training Facility.
