HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2007-60CITY OF KENAI RESOLUTION NO. 2007-60 Suggested by: Administration A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT TO WINCE-CORTHELL-BRYSON FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED WILDWOOD DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE NOT- TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $45,500. WHEREAS, proposals were received on July 20, 2007, from HDL, Wm. J. Nelson 8v Associates, and Wince-Corthell-Bryson; and, WHEREAS, each firm was ranked for experience, approach, and methodology by the City Administration; and, WHEREAS, Wince-Corthell-Bryson's proposal received the highest score for the Wildwood Drive Improvements Project and award to this bidder would be in the best interest of the City; and, WHEREAS, the recommendation from the City Administration is to award the contract to Wince-Corthell-Bryson for the not-to-exceed amount of $45,500; and, WHEREAS, sufficient monies are appropriated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, that the contract for engineering design services for the project entitled Wildwood Drive Improvements be awarded to Wince-Corthell-Bryson for the not-to- exceed amount of $45,500. This project will also replace the sanitary sewer maul along Wildwood Drive. A Request for Proposals (RFP) for this work was issued and proposals were due on July 20, 2007. The selection committee selected WCB as the highest ranked proposer for the Wildwood Drive project and negotiations ensued to establish the scope and fee.
