ALASKA Suggested by: Administration CITY OF KENAI ORDINANCE NO. 2619 -2012 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, DECREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE STREETS, WATER, AND SEWER CAPITAL PROJECT FUND AND INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE CITY SHOP CAPITAL PROJECT FUND FOR THE SCHEMATIC DESIGN OF A NEW CITY SHOP UTILIZING GRANT FUNDS FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA FOR THE PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City received a grant in the amount of $1,000,000 from the State of Alaska for public improvement; and, WHEREAS, the funds were initially appropriated in the Streets, Water, and Sewer Capital Project Fund but these grant funds may be used for any public improvement project; and, WHEREAS, as of February 29, 2012, $491,680.25 of the original grant funds remained unspent; and, WHEREAS, the finance department believes accounting for the City Shop Project will be better accomplished in a separate fund; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, that estimated revenues and appropriations be increased and decreased as follows: Streets, Water & Sewer Capital Project Fund Decrease Estimated Revenues: State Grant Decrease Estimated Expenditures Construction City Shop Capital Project Fund Increase Estimate Revenues: State Grant Increase Appropriations: Construction $129,1 19.28 $129,119.28 $129,1 19.28 $129,119.28 New Text Underlined; [DELETED TEXT BRACKETED] Ordinance No. 2619 -2010 Page 2 of 2 PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, this fourth day of April, 2012.
