ORDINANCE NO. 2620 -2012
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA INCREASING
ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $2,000.64 IN THE GENERAL
FUND FOR GRANT FUNDS TO PROVIDE POLICE TRAINING TO PREVENT INTERNET
CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN (ICAC).
WHEREAS, the Kenai Police Department is an active member in good standing with
the Federal Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force; and
WHEREAS, in late February of 2012 a Kenai Police Department sergeant traveled to
Houston, TX to attend forensic computer training; and,
WHEREAS the ICAC regional director approved reimbursing the Kenai Police
Department for training costs ($2,000.64) upon completion of the training; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of this training was not included in the FY12 Police -
Transportation budget, and officers need to attend additional training for the
remaining half of the FY12 budget year; and,
WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting appropriation of $2,000.64 to the
General Fund, Police Transportation account to cover the costs of the training.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI,
ALASKA, that estimated revenues and appropriations be increased as follows:
General Fund
Increase Estimated Revenues:
Police - Federal Grants
$2 ,000.64
Increase Appropriations:
Police - Transportation $2,000.64
