X \\ (lie c ;E/0f // KENAI,AIA SKp SUBSTITUTE Suggested by: Administration C+ffi337 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, INCREASING ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $4,000,000 IN VARIOUS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FUNDS FOR A CITYWIDE ROAD AND INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT GRANT FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA. WHEREAS, SB 1.60 granted the City $4,000,000 for Citywide road and infrastructure improvements; and, WHEREAS, SB160 was signed by Governor Parnell on May 14, 2012 and became effective July 1, 2012; and, WHEREAS, these grant funds will be used for various City projects identified at the August 1, 2012 work session of the City Council; and, WHEREAS, the donation of a large ten enclosure by British Petroleum after the August 1, 2012 work session has created the need for an additional $50,000 project to erect and install power to the donated tent; and, WHEREAS, acceptance of this grant and completion of the projects identified is in the best interest of the City and its citizens. The donation has created a project to erect and provide power to the building at an estimated cost of $50,000. The tent will be erected on the site of the future City shop. Substitute Ordinance 2646 -2012 appropriates $50,000 into the City Shop Capital Project Fund for the erection and installation of electrical for the new tent.
