SUBJECT: Resolution 2012 -12, Award on a Professional Services Contract to
Wolf Architecture, Inc, for Design Services for a New City
Heavy /Light Equipment Maintenance Shop
The purpose of this correspondence is to recommend that the City Council approve Resolution
2012 -12 awarding a professional services contract to Wolf Architecture, Inc.
The City received proposals for the design of a new city shop on February 2, 2012. A selection
committee comprised of individuals from the Finance Department, Public Works Department,
and the City Manager's office reviewed and scored the proposals based on the ranking criteria
contained in the Request for Proposals (RFP).
Two firms, Wolf Architecture, Inc., and McCool- Carlson- Green, were selected to make
presentations to the selection Committee. Based on the presentations /interviews the selection
committee unanimously selected Wolf Architecture, Inc. as the highest ranked design firm
proposing on this project.
No fee proposals were opened prior to the selection of a highest- ranked proposer. The fee
proposal of Wolf Architecture was determined to be within a reasonable range for the work
and consistent with the City's independent cost estimate.
