Rick,
During the severe storm on November 16, 2011 a sprinkler head at Vintage Point froze
and broke thereby flooding the Vestibule, Lobby and Lounge, This contract is for the
repair of the resulting damage.
On March 14, 2012 at 2:OOpm we received three bids for the above project. These bids
have been reviewed and it was determined that DBR Construction, Inc. was the lowest
responsive bidder. The bid documents were complete and responsive and sufficient
funds will be available to award the base bid and additive alternate 1.
Base Bid - remove and replace or repair damaged construction. The Base Bid does not
include repair of sprinkler system covered by the Additive Alternate.
Additive Alternate 1 — reroute sprinkler system to connect a replacement sprinkler head
in the Vestibule to the existing dry sprinkler system.
Additive Alternate 2 - (Not awarded) repair sprinkler system to pre -event conditions by
connecting replacement sprinkler head in arctic entry and connect to wet system.
The attached Resolution 2012 -19 is recommending award of the contract to DBR
Construction, Inc for the total bid cost of $30,993.
