Subject: Invitation to Bid Results — Airport Snow Plowing Services
The Airport advertised for Snow Plowing Services on September 26, 27, & 29, 2013. The
successful contractor will provide snow plowing in the Airport terminal, Kenai Flight Service
Station, Alaska Fire Training Facility, and the F.B.O. vehicle parking lots. The contract is for
one -year which may be extended for two (2) successive one -year terms by mutual written consent
of the City and the Contractor.
One (1) bid packet was picked up and one (1) bid was received on October 7, 2013. The
Operations Supervisor and I reviewed the following bid:
Alaska Sure Seal Area 1 Terminal Parking Lot $ 725.00
Area 2 Flight Service Station $ 100.00
Area 3 Alaska Fire Training Facility $ 100.00
Area 4 F.B.O. Parking Lot $100.00

The bid did not contain a Specialty Contractor License or Alaska Business License numbers;
however, the Airport has both licenses on file. Alaska Sure Seal, Inc., was also the previous
contractor the past three years and completed the plowing specifications to the satisfaction of the
Airport.
It is our recommendation that the contract be awarded to Alaska Sure Seal, Inc. at the October 16,
2013 Council meeting.
