CITY OF KENAI
RESOLUTION NO. 2014 -04
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING
A BUDGET TRANSFER WITHIN THE PERSONAL USE FISHERY FUND FOR 2013
OPERATIONAL OVERAGES AND REMAINING FY2014 PURCHASES.
WHEREAS, the FY2014 Budget is the first time the Personal Use Fishery has existed
as a standalone fund with its own budget; and,
WHEREAS, budget variances exist after operations of the fishery requiring budget
revision; and,
WHEREAS, the experience of the FY2014 Budget will be valuable in preparation of the
FY2015 budget and such variance should be minimized in future periods; and,
WHEREAS, the administration has identified $75,900 in remaining expenditures for
FY2014 in the 2013 Annual Dipnet Report to Council; and,
WHEREAS, sufficient budget exists for the $75,900 in remaining expenditures but
requires some level of budget adjustment; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Kenai Municipal code 7.25.00 City Budget Control, a budget
transfer over $5,000 requires Council approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI,
ALASKA, the following budget transfer be made:

The purpose of this memo is to recommend passage of Resolution 2014 -04. This Resolution will
amend the budget of the Personal Use Fishery Fund for overages from operations this season as
well as provide for the final FY2014 purchases described in the 2013 Dipnet Report. Those
purchases include:
