The first transfers funds, and the second awards an agreement for the South Spruce Street and Third Avenue outfall sediment control structure repair design to Larson Engineering, P.C. for the amount of $8,855. During the flooding event in October 2013, South Spruce Street and the Third Avenue outfall sediment control structure were damaged. The event was declared a federal disaster. 1 am working with the State of Alaska Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to ensure that all expenses incurred by the City of Kenai to repair the damage will be reimbursed. The base bids are to provide bid documents to return the sites to their pre- disaster condition. The additive alternate on Spruce Street is to provide bid documents which include an additional culvert to mitigate future damage during flooding. The cost of mitigation is also reimbursable. I recommend this award. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Bidder Spruce St. Base Bid Spruce St. Add. Alt.
