On March 21, Mountain View Elementary provided a donation check in the amount of $308.66 to the Kenai Animal Shelter. The four kindergarten classes held a fund raising penny drive. They donated the funds to the Animal Shelter with the expectation that the funds are used for items that the animals need at the shelter. The shelter is in need of animal fulfillment items, including, but necessarily limited to, blankets /pads, toys, and treats. The funds will be used to purchase those types of items. I am requesting an ordinance appropriating the funds specifically for Animal Shelter use.
