The City of Kenai currently holds $288.75 in investigative seizure money. In March of 2014 the Kenai Court ordered the forfeiture of $288.75 to the Kenai Police Department. The forfeiture is the result of a drug investigation in which the Kenai Police Department was the investigating agency. I am requesting an ordinance appropriating $288.75 into the general fund, police small tools account so the police department can purchase unbudgeted equipment for use by officers for law enforcement purposes.
