CITY OF KENAI
RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -04
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, AWARDING A
CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT TO GAMETIME, C/O
SITELINES PARK & PLAYGROUND PRODUCTS, INC.
WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Commission held several public meetings in order
to develop the scope of a Municipal Park Playground Upgrade Project; and,
WHEREAS, the recommendation from administration is to award the contract to
Gametime, C/O Sitelines Park & Playground Products, Inc. in order to construct a 2 -5
Year Old play area and replace the existing 5 -12 Year Old playground "main feature,"
including one supporting feature; and,
WHEREAS, KMC 7.15.050(f) provides for the purchase of supplies, materials,
equipment or contractual services under the contract of another governmental agency
in which the City is authorized to participate; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Kenai has utilized the U.S. Communities purchasing contracts
on other occasions; and,
WHEREAS, the purchase of playground equipment from Gametime, C/O Sitelines
Parks & Playground Products, Inc. for approximately $74,564.82 in the best interest of
the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI,
ALASKA, authorizes the purchase of 2 -5 Year Old and 5 -12 Year Old playground
equipment from Gametime, C/O Sitelines Parks & Playground Products, Inc.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENAI, ALASKA, this 21st day of
January, 2015.

SUBJECT: Municipal Park Playground Equipment Purchase
Purpose of this memorandum is to recommend passage of Resolution No. 2015 -04. If passed,
this Resolution will award a contract to Gametime, C/O Sitelines Park & Playground Products,
Inc. for furnishing new playground equipment for approximately $74,564.82.
The Parks & Recreation Commission has held several public meetings developing and proposing
the scope for the Municipal Park Playground Upgrade Project. Most recently, a joint work
session was held with Council and the Parks & Recreation Commission on December 4, 2014.
The outcome of that work session was a directive to procure specified equipment (see
attachment) for developing a 2 -5 Year Old area and replacing the existing 5 -12 Year Old play
equipment.
This purchase would be made through the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance
awards program as allowed by KMC 7.15.050(f) providing for the purchase of supplies,
materials, equipment or contractual service under the contract of another governmental
agency in which the City is authorized to participate.
Sufficient funding for this purchase is available through the Capital Improvement Fund 116 -450-
8064.
